Just called 911.......

Enoch Gale.... Actually, I did not WANT armed response. The local cops and I have a good relationship and they have told me repeatedly to hit 911 just to get a car in the area even if it does not really seem to be a danger.
That's what I did. The situation looked and more importantly "felt" OK as they had told me that they were going to a party at the bar next door. It was just that I don't allow costumes of any sort in the store and told them NOT to do it and they started to do it anyway.
My armament in the store is adequate for a minor war.
I had the gun in my hand (although not in THEIR sight) when I reiterated that they could NOT change in here.
I did not feel in real danger but their disobeying my refusal put me on edge.
That was the difference. So just to have it nearby if I needed it, I made the call.
We have a drill in the shop and are pretty safe. Distance and doorways. Code words for everything from "get ready" to "arm yourself" to "shoot NOW"
I have been robbed a long time ago. I learned to suspect EVERYONE.
Situations differ. It was out of respect for the cops that I told them the whole scenario as I saw it. I don't want them pulling the whole force for an incident like this.
The reason for my post was not to complain about the 10 minute delay but rather to demonstrate the advantage of having a gun to depend on rather than only police.
If it was unclear, I apologize.
