I think the Stossel story is another indication that the recent SCOTUS decisions weren't paradigm changers in actual practice.
Wily Old Bird Scalia seems to be something of a old turkey when you look at the new laws after Sandy Hook and implementation of decisions such as Posner's in IL. Has it been an easy road? Have many progun decisions (IL was one) be generated to lead to easy access and elimination of weapons type bans?
Will the SCOTUS actually take up a paradigm changer that lets easy shall access by the law of the land, breaking the restrictions in NY for instance, or wiping out the CO, NY Safe Act, CT,etc. laws?
I wouldn't bet on it.
