JFK conspiracy - history channel tonight

Finally, the 6.5 Carcano round has a high sectional density not condusive to the large wound on the President's head no matter whether it was an entrance or exit wound.

I have seen photos of many people headshot with FMJ rifle bullets, and they all pretty much looked like that. Also, that wound is clearly right front in that photo.

It all comes back to what is seen in the Zapruder film.

Despite many attempts to claim that frames were removed from the film, that images were altered, etc., it's been conclusively shown that the Zapruder film has not been tampered with in any manner.

The Zapruder film shows blood and brain matter exploding from Kennedy's head towards the FRONT, not the rear.

As an aside, I came across one lovely website last night that claimed that the autopsy photos actually prove that Kennedy was struck by no fewer than EIGHT .45 caliber bullets, supposedly fired from at least 3 separate directions.

Face it, folks. Oswald killed Kennedy.

Was he acting alone, on his own volition? No, I don't believe that he was.

But was he the only gunman to actually fire on and hit Kennedy that day?

Yes. I believe that he was.

Arguments of grassy knolls and where the bullets came from sure do a good job of distracting from that particular, now don't they. ;)

I'm with Mike on this one, for the most part.

Look at it this way. Are people in general good at keeping secrets? No, I don't believe we are. Folks who are told a secret usually have the need to tell someone. Not all people are this way, but I've seen time and time again my life instances of people being told secrets, then telling someone else, who tells someone, etc.

If there really were other people actually shooting that day, someone would have been talking by now. Someone on their death bed would say something perhaps. This has not occurred.

I saw the special on Kennedy the first time it aired and thought they did a very credible job of proving Oswald did it on his own. I was skeptical until I saw it.
I also don't believe there are any aliens at Roswell, or Area 51.

But, that's just me. :)

That's the most telling aspect of it for me, Boss, that somehow this huge, vast, complex conspiracy, involving alternately the Russians, the Mob, Lyndon Johnson and/or others in the government, etc., was so perfectly done that it has never unraveled.

I just don't buy it.

In that special it was mentioned that people want Kennedy's death to have had meaning. To have had something behind it other than just a wasteful death.
Other than just someone deciding to take him out.

And that's all I think it was. Oswald was in the right place at the right time, was obsessed with becoming famous (his own brother said in the program he was mad that no press showed up to focus on him when he returned from Russia and wanted fame), and he just decided to get fame by killing the President.

I'm with Boss.

People love to talk. The old saying, "Three can keep a secret if two are dead" is true.

All these conspiracies, especially the ones involving any branch of the government, would involve, at least, several people. By now one of them would have felt bad or gotten drunk and blabbed. He'd have bragged to his wife/girlfriend/buddy or sold his story for $10 million to some Michael Moore clone.

Mobsters are too stupid to have pulled it off cleanly and one of them would have traded the info for a lighter sentence by now.

Oswald did it. The voices in my head say so! :p
