Jetfire, Tomcat questions?

I have a 950 Jetfire and its a cute little gun that I've owned for over 15 years. Mine has been very reliable and I don't recall ever having a malfucntion with mine. But for a carry gun I would choose the Kel-Tec P-32, for those who are looking for a lightweight and more powerful carry gun.

Beretta Tomcat .32 ACP

I recently purchased a Beretta Tomcat .32 ACP Inox. It might have been just the one that I had but it was a terrible gun. I shot about 800-1000 rounds through it during a one-week period. I cleaned and re-oiled the gun after every 200 rounds. I had at least 30 jams. I took it back to where I purchased the gun and they looked at it, shot 50 rounds through it and said that they didn't think anything was wrong with it. I tried about 4 brands of ammo in it and none appeared to work better than others. It wasn't just one type of jam....you name it this gun jammed that way. I'm sure that there are many of these that work just fine but how could I feel confident with this gun. I traded it in exactly a week from the day I bought it and purchased a Beretta 9000s 9mm. It's definitely a larger gun but what a great gun!!!

I've owned the Beretta model 21 "Bobcat" in .22 LR and thoroughly enjoyed owning it. It has a great SA trigger, is extremely easy to point and shoot (although the sights are too small) and I like the tip-up barrel feature. Mine never jammed, although my son got it to jam after he had fired several hundred rounds through it rather quickly (too hot I suspect) I would rather have one in .22 LR than .25 ACP, just my opinion. IF you're going to .32 ACP, I would heartily recommend the KelTec P32 over Beretta's .32 Tomcat.

See, thats the thing. Its not just you- your experience seems to be the norm. Tamara (and a few others here) got an anti-lemon, is all.
