Jesse James pistol

my first thought was "didn't he use Schofields in his later years?" and my second thought was "he was a confederate soldier, so he more pragmatically used .36 C&P revolvers based on the 1851 design."

Then I saw the picture, and the cylinder is clearly one piece with the recoil sheild, it looks like a stage prop.
 
Jesse James was quite the collector of pistols ...I remember reading after his death his mother was seen buying up alot of 2 dollar pistols at the local hardware store and swearing they were her sons when she would sell them to the turist that would come by .
The lady knew how to make a buck ...:D
 
From what I can see I have to agree with a few others in as this is a fake revolver. There is a cottage industry that builts fake firearms slightly resembleing original, and use them in shadow box displays. This is what this appears to be.
