Well, let's just get it out in the open then: Is it a religious issue or not?
If so, I don't recall Jesus saying anything about abortion. If it's an old testament thing, I can quote plenty of scripture that says that not only is abortion approved by God himself, he actually *demands* it in certain instances. I make it a habit to not quote scripture on the internets unless asked. I assume you good folks know the passages I'm referring to.
Anyway, before we get into some debate about which passages in the bible may be ignored and which must be followed (thus establishing our own moral relativism), ponder this: Why are Rev's Sharpton and Jackson not allowed to practice the same moral relativism when they disagree with you? What makes them any less pious?
I spend alot of time arguing with others over politics. I would not dare question another man's faith because I disagree with his position.
YMMV.
Also, if it is a religious thing I'm so sorry but you just forfeited the battlefield, constitutionally speaking. The BoR protects the rest of us from those of you who would force your religious morality upon the rest of us through the government.
