Someone please fill me in on these guys. I'm a young, christian, white male and something about these guy's bothers me. They claim to be pastors or Reverands and firmly believe abortion is O.K.? How do these guys have a following? What's the deal? Thanks.

Thier following is directly related to their color... Their constituents "trust" them primarily for their skin color... A perverse form of descrimination and racism.

Any fool can get certified as a "Reverend" new churches are opening everyday. It's like a business license... :barf:

They tend to be "militant" in their manner, and people who are frustrated and looking for someone else to blame for their troubles, tend to gravitate toward any source of militancy that supports their misery (which loves company) and welcomes what they think are representatives of themselves.

Most "black leaders" Like the New Orleans Mayor and Charlie Rangle, and nearly all the others... are applauded by the people, for their militant attacks on any thing that isn't black... They also get lots and lots of donatrion money for their "leadership". The fact that the New Orleans Mayor was re-elected is, in my opnion, a manifestation of the "black vote" working it's magic.

Only ignorant masses will follow such "leaders" and that is why they are kept ignorant... not by the non-blacks, but by their community leaders!

"Reverends" like Sharpton and Jackson... Who refuses to report where all the donations he receives from his Rainbow Coalition have gone, besides into his pockets...

They enjoy a sort of reverse adoration... the team is cheering for the cheer leaders!. ;)

Setting back advances made by the civil rights movement through bigottry, outrageous ideas, and pure separatist politics.

I wonder how Jackson's a millionaire and has never "worked" a day in his life. It really bothers me how people follow this man.

Shakedown - or is it "Shagdown?"

Hot Sauce,

A few months ago, there was a book out about Jesse Jackson and his "ministry." The title is Shakedown (how approperiate). Take a look at Border's or maybe on Amazon.com

I don't care what color Jesse Jackson and Al Sharlatan are - they are not men of God. As the Bible says, "By their fruits ye shall know them" and they both crank out some pretty rotten fruits.

A year or two ago, "Reverend" Jackson was publicly outed as his ex-secretary revealed that the "Reverend," a married man, had been shagging her and she was knocked up with his love child.

Looks like Jimmy Swaggart has no monoply on being a scumbag with no integrity "reverend."

lemming leaders...

hot...at least you are on the curve or getting ahead of it...be aware...watch them..they have creedence from their unaware following because the media gives them airtime and some creedence to their views in the name of "fair and balanced"...they are charlatans who have a lemming following of poor...needy people who look to them as the answer...life rafts in their desparate sea of drugs ...alcohol...poverty..and ignorance....well guess this thread is closed in three....two...one...

I read the book SHAKEDOWN a couple of years ago, it's about 500 pages and dry. I was a little surprised it was written by a college prof. If I remember right.

Jesse works over large corps, and even goes after small companies, too the tune of billions.

He's nailed Toyota, Ford, among some of the biggies.

With the laws the liberals have passed over the years as far as racial, hate, discrimination and so on, along with Jesse and his leftwing thugs, it all works together to form the perfect SHAKEDOWN!

Jackson is such a scam artist and a liar.

He is a head of the Rainbow Coalition, some "nonprofit" of sorts.

In the early 2000's, he was found out to have been:

A) having an affair on his wife
B) embezzeling loads of money from his Rainbow Coalition
C) he purchased a HOME and set up his other woman with Coalition funds, and also gave her a job with the Coalition

What a lying, cheating crook.

That man's got POTENTIAL!! When's he gonna run for Congress?:D

Hotsauce, Good job on trying to find answers to your questions, some young people just shrug and figure "well, thy are preachers." You have a good start on jackson here if you want more on either just google Tawana Brawley, or the phrase, and I hope the mods will forgive here, himeytown. Good luck.

Um I might not have spelled it right.:p Member when jessa said that? He was talkin about New York, I think, Then there was the "white interlopers" comment from, Mushmouth.

Jackson & Sharpton

The only way I could explain these two is in this way: Jackson Blackmailed his way into the limelight and if he wants anything done he uses blackmail to get it.
Sharpton is a DEMOCRAT, need I say more.

If I remember right the two of them came out of the NAACP.

I honestly do not think eigther one could muster a SERMON IF THEY HAD TO.

You or I could be a better Pretcher than they are, all that is needed is a $10.00 registration fee and hold one service anywhere, like in your basement to maintain the status as Precher I think you have to have two other than yourself to constitute a congregation so there you go, all can be done by mail.

I'll endorse reading Shakedown. You can read the entire book in a couple of hours and it really shows what Jackson and essentially Sharpton are all about. If they were white, they would be called extortionists and arrested. There are some black leaders that speak out about them and end up getting called "Uncle Tom" for their "treason."

I would go with alot of what has already been said here. Hot Sauce, if you want to follow a true reverend and man of peace, study up on Martin Luther King Jr. and ignore wolves in sheep's clothing.

Al Sharpton is a Black Muslim. If you have never heard a sermon by a Black Muslim preacher you really need to do so. It will be one of the most racist speeches you have ever heard, with the underlying theme that Christianity is a "white mans religion".

Jesse Jackson is supposed to be a Baptist preacher although he was never ordained by any church, not even on the internet for free as far as I know. He is an admitted racist and once said that while he was working as a waiter he would spit in the salads of whites. He was a follower of Dr. Martin Luther King but somewhere lost the vision and goals Dr. King had. Coretta Scott King had denounced him several years ago because he was trying to use her late husbands name to gain popularity. He is using the veil of religion to achieve his political and personal gains, money, sex and power.

They both have followers because of hatred, bigotry and ignorance and are no different than any of the white supremicists groups.

Al's a Pentecostal - - unless he recently coverted to Islam - which I kind of doubt.

Maybe you're thinking of Farrakam?

Anyhow - oddly - I find that Sharpton and I share many of the same ideals. It's just how they are implemented is where we differ.

Al Sharpton- re: The "A" word. he doesn't actually support it, he opposes .gov involvement (other than to foot the bill for it of course).

They claim to be pastors or Reverands and firmly believe abortion is O.K.?
Why would the abortion issue be a religious one? Normally the anti-abortion folks I talk to claim it has nothing to do with religion.

If I remember correctly, Jackson, Sharpton and Farrakahn are all three written about in the recent book, 100 People Who are Screwing Up America, along with other leftist/socialist luminaries such as Clinton, Kennedy, Pelosi, et. al.

That should tell us all something.
