Jane Fonda got her just rewards

have a question. why is it that if you refer to an illegal alien as a "wetback" on the TFL you get a lecture, yet one can call a caucasion "white trash" and that seems to be ok.
I think that it is not that we assume that others know our race, but that we are so comfortable using it if we are white that we do not consider how we had used the term and how it appears to others. Actually, I never thought about it untill it was brought up. Now that it has been mentioned, I will try to think twice befor using it.

I hate the word "elite" because of the way it has been bantied about without merit by the "other" media, but the one time I would say "elite" was used properly is when people say that Jane F. is elitist. I remember when another ex-hippie that knew her back then said that she thought that she was above the "common folk" who she said couldn't even read. She was implying that she believed only the wealthy and educated class had any intelligence. :barf:

BTW "wetback" may have not had a racist beginning, but then again, neither did WOP (WithOut Papers) or the other word for negroe, or cracker, or yankee.....I take that last one back. Yankee meant "cheese breath" and it is what they called the Dutch in New Amsterdam and it was dorogatory origionally.

Jane Fonda openion

My openion of/on Jane Fonda is to make her a citizen of Havana, Cuba and not let here back into The USA or any of it's possessions.

Make her a citizen of Vietnam and don't let her back.

But her money stays here. Let her start making money over there among her "friends".

Frankly, JF is beneath my radar. However if she really wants to apologise I think that she should make a gesture, like living in a concrete block cell with a bare light bulb, the same bucket for her daily rice and her daily excrement, no mosquito net, nobody to talk with and 2 hours of sunlight a week for seven years.

And here it is 33 years later and conseratives are still giving her what the media whore craves the most, attention."

And most of those conservatives you make mention of are the Viet Vets who keep playing on how much they hate her. As long as they keep fanning the fires the publicity she gets over it good or bad will never cease.

Get over it already and move on........

Jeez guys....

It's been 36 long years since I last climbed off of a C-141 after having made the long trip via DaNang, Tachikawa AFB, Elmendorf AFB and NAS Quonset Point. I just can't see any point in continuing to feel such violent anger. I can understand feeling betrayed, but nothing is going to change the past. I got over the 68 Tet offensive, I guess I can get over Jane too. She has to live with her actions, I don't.

No anger, just facts. If you forgive an atrocity it will happen again. My mother still hasn't forgiven the yankees for the rape of the Southland 140+ years ago. (I don't dare tell her that President Grant is IMHO probably the single greatest military leader we have ever produced.) The fact that our generation has finally moved on will probably lead to a repeat performance sometime in the future. OTOH the fact that Israel will never forgive the Nazis assures us that Nasim will never be a major political force.

MeekandMild: What happened 150 years ago (yankees) or 36 years ago (Fonda) is just people...and harboring such anger is just a complete waste of time and certainly not healthy to that angry person. Even if the person or people committing the atrocity were somehow punished to the ultimate degree it would not change what happened nor would it prevent it from ever happening again because people are people and they will make choices to do bad things regardless of the consequences.

As I said before it would be best for that person to just get over it and move on....

Anger just isn't the problem. As I said before JF ususally flies well beneath my radar. The problem is that allowing her a nice cushy place back in the mainstream ever again just isn't healthy. Lest you forget, the Left measures its progress in increments by the decade. Rust never sleeps so why should we?

Interesting way to look at it. I will have to keep that in mind. :)

Oh Jane what have you done?

Nothing important.........

Pat yourself on the back and you and John Kerry can blow kisses and winks at one another. Your sorry you were photographed on that Charlie Gun? Yet you were giving a big smile and having a ball with the enemy of the United States of America. You exercised your rights beyond what our founding father's had in mind. Your a washed up hack that now wants to sell your life story? I can't figure out what you could tell in a book that we don't know? It is no wonder your father and you didn't get along so well........ I think he might have had a little class and it likely broke his heart when his daughter crapped on him by the Vietnam trip and the ignorant actions you often took in the public eye.

My brother in law's Senior Trip was the jungles of Vietnam and I can tell you he hates you more than I do..... Each night I ask God to forgive me for not letting it go......Then I dream of thousands and thousands and thousands whom died in that war.........yes it was a WAR........ Police actions are what law enforcement officers do everyday...... War is Hell........ Thanks Jane........ Your forgiven.........NOT :barf:

The news report that followed Fonda's spit catching episode interviewed the woman who owned the book shop who was sponsoring the signing.

This woman, who was just a few feet away and watching intensly, admitted the man did not in fact spit ON Fonda, but rather on the table. And, that only a tiny splatter hit Fonda.

This does not make what he did right, but the man did not spit ON her as it's been blown up to be.

He was 2-3 feet away from her. If he wanted to spit ON her, I'm sure he could have.

And about the "white trash" thing... It's OK because whites have persecuted so many other races that it's now our turn to take the beating. :barf:

Similar to how Christianity is in the crosshairs of the world right now. :barf:
