J-Frame Ergo Grip

If you're looking for recoil reduction, I'd still seriously look at the Hogue Tamer grips. They take advantage of the entire backstrap which is a concept most grip makers forget about when designing a set for the J-Frame. Add in the tamer part and the plastic end so shirts and what not don't snag and it's a pretty good win-win situation except for maybe pocket carry, but many say it doesn't effect it that much.

I ordered a set of Michaels S&W factory grips from S&W, I think they cost $@@ and theyre great!

I'd give them a try

On a loaned or rented gun. Paying money for something this novel seems like a bit too much for me.

Mine came yesterday. I put 100 rounds through my 640-1 this morning. The grips are ugly as a horned toad but they work for me. I have small hands and every presentation aligns the sight perfectly. Accuracy is better than with any other grips I have tried on my j frames. They dampen felt recoil and enabled me to shoot .357's comfortably for the first time since I bought this gun 15 years ago. I have no trouble drawing from my appendix iwb or belt holster. I'll still rely on my Colt Agent for pocket carry but I will be carrying my 640-1 with the Ergo grips most of the time. YMMV.:)

P.S. They have fixed the shipping issue. I ordered mine under the higher shipping rate and got an email the next day showing an $8.02 credit to my card. The grips arrived USPS priority mail. Shipping on mine turned out to be a little over $5.00.
