"I've never heard a bad thing said about (insert gun here)."

The handgun that I have heard the least negative comments about is S&W's K22 (the pinned barrel, blued steel 6 shot version). I remember EK saying that he acquired one once with one bad hole in the cylinder. He confirmed his suspicions with 200 yard target practice. Sent it back to S&W and they replaced the gun. That's the only bad press I've ever seen on the older K22s. More of a fluke than a flaw.

Um, my Super Soaker Monster XL feeds all kinds of liquids (salt, fresh, distilled, even various flavors of beer), NEVER jams, hardly leaks at all and has a hi-cap 1 gallon magazine.
Never heard anything bad about it except from those on the wrong end...

Tecolote,

The Lorcin IS a "nickel plated sissy pistol". :D

After thinking about it, I've rarely heard bad things about the S&W 686. I really like my 3 inch version.

I will go with least complaints about K frame Smiths. I carry and like a snubby 686 and 696 but don't think the stainless models hold up as well as the carbon steel models under rapid firing.

Back when I was dealin in late 60s and early 70s, had lots of problems with the 39. trouble gettin em to feed good SD or LEO loads.

Wheelguns are out of favor cept to a few of us ol fats but they eat any ammo.

Sam...my favorite 9mm is the 9X32R

Hear a lot of good and not to much bad concerning the Makarov's! Maybe thats why I have 3 of them. ;)

Frenchy,

Obviously, you have three Maks 'cause they're cheap, and your life is only worth.... wrong thread! :D

Maks are good, too bad the ammo got so expensive! :D

Whatever Lawdog! My 40 Watt Phased Plasma Rifle (or Bertha as she likes to be called) has all sorts of problems, the folding stock rattles, and even then it doesn't fit under my trench coat real well. Parts are hard to find, and for stopping power hah! I once shot a herd of cows with it, and one of them managed to run for something like five feet before bursting into flame. You call that stopping power? Plus the barrel heats up pretty quick when you are demolishing buildings and such. Also the houge grips on it are a little too soft for my tastes.

Besides that though it has been a pretty good gun. :D

25 years ago I was looking for cowboy boots when I saw a pair of black patent leather Tony Llamas. After snorting at them it occured to me that patent leather didn't need polishing.

For the first month I wore them I also wore either a pair of blue 58's or a single nickel 58. Back then, Bingham still made exploding ammo - Winchester jacketed soft points with the nose drilled, powder charge inserted, and capped with a barely recessed primer and sealed with yellow laquer.

Still haven't had a negative comment( other than to my refusal to sell ) on the 58s, and come to think of it, on the boots either.

9X19;

One of mine is a non-import marked Russian Military in mint condition. Trust me...that puppy wasn't cheap! ;)

9x19 -

$100 per thousand rounds of 9x18 is expensive? I guess it is compared to .22, but come on, there is little else you can buy for that price.

It took me a long time to think of one and I finally have. What is it? A Star Bm. If Stephen A. Camp and I both like them they can't be bad. Regards, Richard.

I haven't heard a negative comment about any H&K gun.

About the price: yes. About the service: also yes, but never about the guns.

I have never heard anything bad about the ruger 10/22 or the M1 garand, or a remington 500 for that matter, but maybe this reply would be better in another forum.

Haven't heard anything bad about Wilson Combat.

hoosierboy, back in those days when I carried a M1 for a living I heard a lot of bad things about them. They were all related to sore right thumbs! Other than that they are great. Regards, Richard.

I have never heard anything bad about H&K's.
Guess I need to look into getting one.

The only pistol I've never heard a negative remark about is the Kahr K9.

I've heard bad things (I've even said them) about Colt pythons, Hi-Powers, SIGs, KelTecs and HKs.
