I've got somewhat of a dilemma here.

Another vote for the G29SF, tons of power in a small CC package.

Not to far in the future I will be starting a similar thread once I narrow my choices down to 3. But from the calibers you listed I would choose the .45, price of ammo would play a larger role for me though than it will for you. I agree with your choice of a glock, selling the one I owned (G-23) was probably one of the more stupid things I ever did. The other Glocks I waas considering are not on your list so they are not really relevant to this thread.

My two bits is that it seems you don't get to buy many guns.

And you have a CCW gun. Maybe not perfect for you, but adequate.

I'd get a .22 so you can shoot more while waiting to get permission to buy more guns.

Auto OR revolver. You could have fun with it and even the WIFE could shoot it and maybe discover why you want guns more than every other decade.

It there such a thing as a drop in 40 S&W barrel for the G29? Are there any other Drop in barrels for the G29 other than the 40 that you're aware of?

Roach
Lone Wolf Dist makes conversion barrels for the G29 in 40s&w, 357sig, and 9x25.

I also love my Walther P99. Its in .40. If I were going to carry a P99, I'd opt for the compact model with the AS trigger. A fairly light, accurate, powerful weapon with a great trigger and awesome ergonomics.
Or, if you're unhappy with your Kahr, why not sell it or trade it in, and get an even more high-end gun. How bout a Dan Wesson V-Bob??

Something you CAN shoot in your back yard

What about a really accurate air pistol or rifle? (Not the cheap stuff, but true target arms capable of high-level competition). Accompanied by a target/backstop for use indoors or outdoors.

Consider the advantages:

Able to practice sight acquisition and trigger control MUCH more often than you do now.

Almost zero ammunition cost.

Might attract the wife to the shooting sports (in a decidedly non-pressure sort of way)

If she sees how much you enjoy shooting, she may encourage you to go more often to the actual range (if not that, just to get you to quit monopolizing the central hallway in the house 2 to 4 pm every Sunday).

I do like to color outside the lines, so forgive me, please, for going slightly off-thread. I also occasionally shoot outside of the bulls-eye, too.
