It's not just "insurgency"

The reality

Arabs, Israelites, and Christians all have one thing in common. Beware, they all are targets of the mostly Communist U.N. Why? Because they will fight for their freedoms and religion, yes with guns to the end. That twisted barrel on the statue out front of their building tells it all. Yes, all religions have bad people within that hurts their reputation with other religions. Anger ensues, then the violence. America and Israel and the U.N. have peeved the world with their actions. Their actions contradict their words. They say peace when there is none, and peace isn't the goal. Rule through chaos is. Divide and conquer. I will not give up my gun for a plowshare.

WAKE UP AMERICA!

You hear a lot of folks talk about how the islamic fundamentalists don't represent the real teachings of Islam. Read the Koran some time and see for yourself if they are right or wrong.

The priest was an "infidel"

I wonder what the Koran says should be done to the infidels?

I think I saw a few recommendations about that in there. As a matter of fact, it's on almost every page of the text. I'll let y'all figure out what the book says about that...

Read the Koran. A lot of things about that part of the world will make a lot more sense if you do.

What you all need to understand is that this isn't just about foriegn policy, this isn't just about Christians, this isn't just about the "Zionists", this isn't just about suicide bombers. It's about all of these things and more...it's about being at odds with a culture that hates everyone else simply because they are everyone else. No amount of appeasement or logic is going to change that.

Thank you! Not only do you get the point, but you summed it up much better than I could have done. +1.

pickpocket...

Your words were definately well spoken, and you're right a good number of us have NEVER lived or stayed in the ME to experience the problems there. However, when I meant the current problem I did understand it was already a perpetuating problem that has existed much much longer than that.

You had a point - that the violence is perpetuated by both sides; Re: Israel v. Palestine.
However, I don't see Israelis running into mosques and blowing themselves up. I think that's the difference that most of us home in on.

pickpocket...

That's because the Palestinians have less advanced weapons, in comparison to Israel. Therefore it doesn't give them much choice.

not buying that one

Sorry Epyon, but the reason for the suicide bombings has nothing to do with the Palestininans not having weapons. They don't have to do this. They can choose to coexist peacefully and they choose not to becaue they choose to hold to the idea that the larger Islamic states really will sweep Israel into the sea and they'll all "get their land back". The land they didn't HAVE to leave in the first place, but chose to for this same reason.

Nobody HAS to choose to blow people up. Not buying this line of thought.

Suicide bombings are such an insane waste of highly motivated soldiers. If they bothered to train those guys they could have a formitable conventional guerilla army. Each one of those bastards could carry out multiple attacks before they got captured or killed if they took off the belts o' explosives and took to placing sachel charges and setting up ambushes.

Springmom...

I'm not defending any views about why they do it, but I'm comparing the way they fight. Israel has tanks and jets, the Palestinians don't.

oldbillthunderchief, you're right on that if they were smarter they'd carry out operations in methods you've mentioned.
