It's a cast bullet kinda Thanksgiving!

Thanks.

Couldn't find anything about critical dimensions, but did go though about 12 other threads with pictures of the bullet from various other angles and with all kinds of miscellaneous objects in frame. I think the meplat is about 0.075" too wide for my use.

My calipers on the nose say around .345± and putting them inside the nose of the cavity of the mold gives around .342±

Thanks.
That's just a hair under what I estimated, and a good diameter for revolver or levergun use (my opinion). ...But I need a bullet that will feed from an AR magazine, so a graceful nose with a meplat around 0.270-0.290" is in order.

Beagle333 your work is amazing! You now have me interested in taking one step further into reloading and learn this craft. Again, great work.

Ok, so what gives here Beagle. I notice the bases are coated but they look to good to be tumbled so how did ya do it. Inquiring minds want to know. :p

Edited to clarify the sentence below. It's humor betwixt me an SS.

What? You want me to give away trade secrets!?!!

Well... first... the bases do not need to be coated. Ever.

But.... I used my nail rig (since those are HP's) and it just removes any chance at all of any flashing forming against the bottom of the bullet from powder buildup, plus it makes it very easy to move them from the spray table to the oven without knocking them over. When they are on the nails, I can practically tap dance my way over to the oven without losing one. :D The bases just get coated as an unavoidable waste of powder.

I didn't take a pic of the blue ones on the rig, but here is how it works with some yellow rifle bullets.

Hard times..... hard times. Health is okay, wife is okay, just weather and luck both getting down on me at the same time. Furloughs, appliance failures, home repairs, truck problems - including other bad drivers, driveway flooding and erosion, dam blew out on pond, ..... just kinda takin' a hit right now from several sides.
I'll bounce back! :)
I'm just kinda laying low right now and loading up some of the "few" bullets that I've collected and watching football on TV until the sun shines again..... literally and figuratively.

At least we know you're still doing well.

Sounds like a tough run of luck.
You'll pull through and make some long-awaited improvements in the process. (Now is the time. ;))

Good luck.
Don't let all of the turtles run away. You'll run out of targets.
