Is Yellow a Good Color for a Sporting Shotgun? -- Photo of shotgun

For what its worth - I showed my 18 yr old grandson the photo last nite - and he thought it looked pretty cool....

EXACTLY why I made the comment I did previously..if this gun gets some kids 18 years old to want to go shotgun shooting, make it in every color, including "Paris Hilton Bentley Pink" if necessary

and here I thought it was just free ammo, free targets ...and snacks ...that made them want to go ....:D

( but the same 18 yr old grandson ...was here visiting ....and I offered to take him shooting on Sat - his choice / Sporting Clays or Handguns ...and he picked Handguns ...must be his grandmother's fault ...) :D

The Cynergy shotguns sure have gone up in price since they were originally introduced.

The standard Cynergy Sporting Clays model with wooden stocks now has a list price of $3,919.

Gulp!

.

On Browning O/U's --- in general ---- about $300 - $400 off list for a new shotgun in the box is about average --even in this economy.

The Cynergy's are up in price / but what isn't these days ...that you really want to own ??

It looks pretty tacky. But, if I had that kind of cash in my pocket, I'd buy it and shoot it proudly for that price. I wouldn't even be terribly worried about trying to 'correct' the look of it right off the bat. I'd probably even beat people to the joke about my tacky, yellow clay buster! :D

All I can figure out: the bee was attracted by the yellow 20-ga hulls.

I didn't think bees even saw the same light spectrum that we do.

I'm 20 years old, and I would totally pick this gun up for 50% MSRP

Its definetly ugly but really cool in a odd way...Why not?

Do it!! Only if i had the cash...

When I first got into shogun sports, there was a young couple at the club who shot a pair of Winchester Model 12s. His was a typical pigeon grade with nice wood and metal that looked like a black mirror. The wife's gun was a little different, it had a factory-looking plastic hydracoil stock that was finished in various shades of swirly pink that resembled a bowling ball of the era, and the metal was nickel plated.

At one of my first club matches, was squadded with the young land. To go with the gun she wore a scoop neck pink sweater and pink satin bra. Needless to say, none of us did very well… the gal and the gun we just too distracting. I wonder what an attractive young lady (in a low cut yellow top) could do to a squad with this Cynergy.

Imagine this rare Hydracoil Model 12 in swirly pink and bright nickel…

I think it is a pretty nifty looking gun. I wish more guns came with color options. I am not real thrilled by bluing blue, black, silver, pink, grass, and dirt colors. It is just to Henry Fordish to me.

MY EYES!!!!

I don't care for the lines of the Cynergy in the first place so that thing is just hideous. IF I was in the market for an O/U and I was considering the Cynergy anyway, I would buy that one and have it dipped.

If the price is justified by the performance of the gun, yes I'd buy it in a heartbeat. With a top-notch paint job (or powder coat??) you could have it in the color/design you want for far less than it's original MSRP.

Engineers creed: if it's stupid and it works, it ain't stupid.

Corrallary: if it's ugly and it works, it's a thing of beauty.

I'd pick it up in a heartbeat if I could get it for 30% under market value due to the looks. And if I wasn't chasing destitution by a single paycheck.

Ain't THAT the truth!......I like it..........

I beg to differ...

Not quite! I think it's more like: Keep it simple, stupid.

You missed again; otherwise, we'd have low flow toilets in our living rooms. It's something like: Beauty may be only skin deep, yet it's eternal -- Ugly is ugly and goes to the bone.
That yellow Browning is ugly to the bone.
