Is This Glock Too Cheap Too Pass Up?

Good price...

Too good... (Need sceptical smilie option)

No shop is going to sell a like new Glock for that price, heck, a well used Glock will still cost $400+ at most places I seen.

Good price. Are you sure it is not stolen? Do you have the cash? Do you want to shoot it?

If I can say yes to all 3, I often buy for the experience. Getting in at the right price I'd never bad. I often buy in low, clean it up, learn it and trade up for something else. Gun money in my life is money mean to build value with, imo. I often buy or trad for guns, I just want to try out. I have a CZ7540B and GP100 because the trade was right. I really like the GP! I have a Glock 23 for the same reason.

A few 100 rounds later, the G23 might be for sale.

In the spirit of full disclosure, it is at the pawn shop that I work at. An older guy (I'm 57, so, older than I am) came in the other day and announced that he hated Glocks and that this 17 was the last one he had to get rid of. He said he was a 1911 man (he has six) and couldn't stand the three Glocks that he had bought. I asked him what he wanted for it and he said "Give me $275 and it's yours". I was kind of taken aback that that was all he wanted, but I gave him the $275 and he left happy. One of the owners said he would sell it to me for $325 plus tax, but then I was shorted a big chunk on my paycheck today, so, in frustration I put it out in the showcase to sell.

Funny. Im a 1911 guy too. Im not dumping my Glock for $275 though! Does the shop confirm guns are not stolen before buying somehow? What do I know? I never needed money that bad.

There is no possible way to know for sure if a gun is stolen before you buy it, but if you buy it, the serial number and description is uploaded to a database that law enforcement check against stolen items and if they get a hit then the shop ends up losing that item.

I can buy a Glock 17 Gen 4 that has only had about four magazines worth of ammo run through it for $325 + tax. I have casually been looking for a Colt LW Commander in 9mm, but just can't spend that much at the moment since I will be looking for another vehicle after having an uninsured driver pull out in front of me and total my car.
I don't need a Glock 17 (I have a 19 and a 26)...

If it was something you wanted anyway, or pretty close to something you wanted (I picked the M&P40c over the Glock 26 or 27 I thought I would go with largely due to price) then it is too good to pass up. If it isn't really something you want (nor are you looking for something similar), then it is far too much money. It sounds like you aren't really in either camp but are somewhere in between. In that case, I'd say, wait and save the money for the LWC that you want.

I can think of other guns I want more for 325.
Having said that IF you want a glock then that is indeed a good price on a very lightly used one.

Still not cheap enough for me, But I ain't lookin for one either.

Shorted on the paycheck?

Why?

If so, and you can show the discrepancy, then get the money... Or see if the glock can go toward what is owed.

They can't not pay you.
