Is this a good trade?

I've a circa 1953 CZ 52 in very good condition along with 3 magazines and well over 700 rounds of ammo.
I have a guy that wants to trade mr either a Glock 19 with two 15 round magazine & case or a Springfield XD mod 2 sub compact 2 tone(nickel slide, black frame)? Upgraded tritium fiber optic night sights,1x 13 round stainless factory mag with Pearce +3 mag extension, 3x 16 Rd stainless factory mags.1 x-grip adapter to fit flush with full size mags. All XD gear ( holster, speed loader, double mag holster) and case, and 300 rounds of 9mm.
Either one sound like a good trade?

Actually, I was trying to sell the CZ, but haven’t had much luck.
Neither of the guns interest me, but it’s the only offer I’ve had.

I like both those trades, though admittedly I don’t know the market value of the CZ. The Glock is probably more valuable than the XD. I have both, like them both, though my XD subcompact is a .45.

Have you tried to sell the CZ online?

Yeah, that’s how this guy found me.
I’ve seen the CZ’s go for over $400 with the holster, etc. But I’ve also seen the go for ~$300. I was figuring on $350 for the CZ and $200 for the ammo.

I'd keep the CZ. The '52 is an interesting pistol with many fans. The 700 rounds of ammo is a big bonus, even surplus 7.62x25mm is not cheap anymore. I think you'd be losing at least some money. Keep the CZ and either shoot it and enjoy it or let it appreciate for a while longer, they are becoming collectible and could be worth a lot in the coming years.

That's a lot of 7,62 you have. In my neck of the woods, they aren't cheap. That being said, the other guns are far more useful for whatever the application might be. Good luck.

Unless I was intentionally whittling down my gun collection (I have been) or simply did not have the funds to purchase a gun I wanted (not whatever came along) I would keep the CZ.

The CZ is, to some degree at least, rare and not going to go down in value. They will make many new Glocks every day for the forseeable future.

What is the reason to sell the CZ ? if you really need the money then stick with it, may be drop the price a little more until it sold. If you want another gun, just save up until you get money to buy it. Don't trade it for another gun that you don't really like and later try to get risk of it again. Just my 2 cents....

Are CZ-52s collectible? They're nothing I'd really want to shoot. But that's me.

IMHO, either would be an OK trade, if you want a shootable modern gun and not a 50s era comblock gun with clumsy ergonomics and an iffy safety and fragile firing pin.

Re the XD, with the exception of the mag loader, the XD Gear is crap, so don't consider it in in your calculations.

The reason i'm trying to sell it is that I recently purchased a Sig P229 as a CCW.
That depleted my piggy bank and now i'm trying to replenish it.
I was hoping to sell the CZ, but if I couldn't, then i'd trade for something of comparable value to what I was asking, hoping it'd be easier to sell.

Keep the CZ. I passed up one about 15 years ago. Took me 10 years to find a similar deal. They used to be very common -- but now are VERY scarce. I subscribe to the advice given elsewhere: Don't sell or trade anything.
