is the 40 S&W safe or not

Pampers,

That is some of the most technically sensible info I've read in a while. I have a Glock 23 and love it. It is without a doubt the best handgun I own. I don't reload yet, but appreciate info like this for my future reference.

Thanks.

Some info on the .40 S&W bullet setback and 180 grain loads can be had at the following address:

http://greent.com/40Page/ammo/40/180gr.htm

I am still using 180's, but I check them carefully for setback from loading and unloading the same carry ammo. I may switch to a lighter bullet, but I haven't had any problems with the 180's so far.

I like the way the .40 performs. It is more than a 9x19, but the guns are more compact than the .45's. I also like the .45ACP round a lot. I may get a handgun in .45ACP, as I currently don't have one.

Just shoot quality ammo, good reloads, no lead but in aftermarket barrels, and no gun show ammo.

Get some 22# recoil springs by Wolff and an FA SS barrel and don't look back!!!!
