Is Savage a good rifle???

Savage all the way!
I have the model 10FCPXP. 308- 22" fluted bull barrel, the ACCUTRIGGER, it came with a "decent" 3x9x40 tasco mildot scope. even with the "sub par glass, less than an inch @ 200 yds. tack drivin performance right outta the box.

I had a 12VLP in .223 I really liked, but could never fine tune a load for it that I was pleased with. It looked better than it shot (for me, at least). Ultimately sold it, and haven't missed it. Last year I replaced it with a Howa 1500 Varminter Supreme, which I wouldn't sell unless I was starving, and maybe not even then. Superior to the Savage, IMO
Wow--Have you ever felt like your all alone on a Island:D. All kidding aside, I have never heard of that before.

I'm extremely pleased with mine. I have no idea why so many people consider Savage bolt rifles ugly - I find mine to be every bit as attractive as any similar Remington rifle (mine is in SS w/accustock).

After 40 years of 700s, 70s, and 77s, I bought my first Savage WW in 260 last year. First rifle, ever, that put the first 3 into .679 and the next 3 into .521, breath, and has a 2.5# trigger OOB! I'm born again Savage. The new ones also have a 3 position safety.
