is it me, or, have many new autoloaders gone way up in price...

Remington has recently released some 'different' 1100s in the $6-700 price range, at least at Gander Mountain. They don't say anything; Sportsman, etc. on them other than Remington 1100. Satin - not Express gravel - finish on stock and metal. I looked at several and they looked like a decent deal for the money. The Sporting Models are very nicely finished, but expensive.
The price of shooting, especially if you want to look at least a little good doing it, has gone up considerably.

I've seen the new 1100's at Gander. They are significantly cheaper than the bowling pin finish target models, and better looking IMHO...

I am actually looking at the Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting model - even at its newer prices it is still half a basic Browning or Beretta O/U, let alone what a new P or K gun costs
I'm also looking very seriously at one of these. Very nice guns and worth the price IMO. Shot a 32" version over the weekend and even though I don't like the looks of them and the one I tried wasn't set up for me I shot it well enough that I'm thinking about adding one to the gun safe.

Oh man, I just looked at the Benelli USA sight... you can pay over $3k for a shotgun EASILY. That seems ridiculous for an inertia gun unless you compete and earn money doing so.

I'm actually looking for a trim 20ga SA but the sp453 only comes in 12 and everything else is around $900 or more, which is not the way things were a few years ago. Prices have really gone up.

There are some 1187s on gunbroker for less but their rep isn't as stellar as the 1100s.
