Is anyone making wood panel grips for the Kahr K9?

You know what, the more I look at these ****ty grips, the more they look like the wood on my Mak-90, but wait, no the Mak has nicer wood!

Y'know, when I think about it, I've had a lot of problems with grips. I had two pairs of grips for my NAA Guardian (since sold) split on me. I bought some woodies from Ajax for my Beretta Tomcat, only to find that the new widebody model takes different grips than the old model, and nobody's making them for the new one. (BTW, did you know that the plastic grips on the Beretta dissolve when GunScrubber hits them?) Then came the problems with the Kahr grips.

The only ones I've consistently had no problems with are the Hogue rubber grips. On my j- and k-frame revolvers, on my Beretta 92, and on 1911s, no problems at all. I also have a really nice pair of Ahrends cocobolo grips I got from Brownells to replace the diamond pattern ones on my Springfield Armory Loaded (which were too sharp).

I think I'll stick with Glocks and forget about this fancy grip stuff.

Sheesh. I got a package from Kahr today, presumably in response to the email I posted earlier. It contained a factory rear sight and a letter stating that they were not responsible for any damage to the gun that occurred as a result of my installing the sight myself. No recoil spring assembly. No explanation. I think their retail operation needs some work.
