FL Do you handload or factory ammo only?? You said you have a weatherby. If its a still a solid rifle and not try'n to be a smart ass but have you let a another shooter you respect have a go with it at 2 or 300 yards . Also how accurate is it at 400 yards. Some bullet may not be stable at 100 yards and print better at longer range than there 100 yard groups show. Maybe have your weatherby accurized by Hill Country Rifles or some other custom shop.

You could also buy a savage 10/110 fcp hs McMillian and have a honest 1/2" rifle , maybe better for 1100 dollars . Then if you want to throw money at it buy a night force or better yet a march scope on it .

Those rifles are not about accuracy. Their reasonably accurate, but that is not why they are made.

I prefer Weatherby Vanguards over Mark V's because in my experience they are more accurate. My nicest rifles are CZ 550 Americans because they are all I want in a rifle. Even if I were seriously wealthy I would still drive a GMC 3/4 ton Crewcab. But, I also have five pairs of Cowboy Boots that cost around $1k apiece and pay $400.00 for my dress shoes. Different strokes for different folks.
