Is a Garand an Assault Rifle?

By definition, an "Assault Rifle" is a small cliber medium-power (.223, 7.62X39, etc.) weapon...the GARAND is a full-fledged, FULL-POWER BATTLE RIFLE!!!....The NRA periodically puts out a "facts booklet" with the CORRECT definitions of these and other terms, as well as other nice-to-know stuff....FWIW....mikey357

Mike Kilo Niner,

Almost anything you already have, you can keep in Massachusetts, but you will have a problem buying very many new handguns as we have AG-passed "Consumer Protection Laws" (read "Honest Citizen Discrimination Acts") which limit what can be bought here.

I have ordered two M-1 Garands and plan on ordering a few more soon, no problem with those.

Depending upon where you live, you might be able to get a CCW license as it is up to the local Chief of Police. Most are difficult, but there are a few who will let a otherwise honest citizen exercise this priviledge.
