Is .380 ACP Really Such A Dead Duck ?

I have three .380's, two Colts and an FEG. They are very useful for concealed carry because of their small size and weight.

About JHP, either use +P ammo or stick with FMJ to ensure penetration. Also remember that anything worth shooting once may be worth shooting 3 or 4 times, as circumstances permit.

I have to be the bearer of bad news but there is no such thing as a .380ACP +P, there is no SAMMI specification for it. Or, so I have recently read. The same holds true for the .40S&W.

When CorBon puts the +P on the .380 box, is it a lie?

Damn! I though I was wrong once before, but that time I was mistaken. ;)

I will have to go home and check all my .380 ammo now. I use Hornady and Hydrashock, but I bought .45, 9mm and .380 all together in one lot last time. I know for a fact that some of it is +P.

In any event, what I load in a .380 is a Glaser Safety Slug on top of the mag (I know, I know), fill the rest with fast JHP's, and carry another mag full of FMJ.
