a buddy has 1 that exploded the frame, the slide and most everything else seems to do what its supposed to...we were gonna try and find a frame to sell it off but chances are wed most likely have to buy another good 1 and split it into 1 good and 1 bad 1 anyways..lol..in any case if u have any interest in this for parts let me know

Another thread brought back from the grave. Please read the dates on these posts. I think that guy is long gone now.

Continued saga Cat 9

I have been messing with this gun about 2 yrs; it became a project gun. I reblued it and it came out nice - I like how it shoots.... when it does anyway.

So, I talked to the guy I bought it from ... told me he lost a spring - located in front of the fire pin, and he was not sure if he replaced it with a proper length. That tells me no he did not.

SO here what up. When I adjust the gun's fire pin to where it fires a round off; the pin is to far forward so that it is extremly hard to chamber and the gun will not cycle as the shell case hits the fire pin and jams as it is shoved towards the chamber (not safe I'm thinking) - if I adjust the pin back where it is flush with the breach, the gun then just clicks but apparently won't strike bullet.

I am thinking the spring is to short, so won't push back on the pin until is way forward - like maybe the spring is close to 1/2 of what it should be? (mine currently measures close to 3/16"). Can any of you perhaps give me a measurement for length of this spring - I found a stainless spring that fits well around the firepin and in breach hole and plan on messing with different lengths springs.
I would buy an original spring if reasonable price.
