Which is why I haven't totally committed yet to her campaign, should she decide to run. I want more info first.

However, if she does run, I wouldn't expect answers to many of those questions right away. She still works for W. There will come a point where she'll need to step out of that shadow and give those answers, but that point probably won't come until near the end of W's second term, unless she steps down early to run.

I liken it to when I was in the Navy, and one of my collateral duties was legal officer. We'd get sailors who popped positive on drug tests. I'd recommend to the skipper that we boot them from the Navy. If the sailor was single, the skipper would agree. But if the sailor was married, the skipper felt that booting the guy was "punishing his family." I explained that the sailor, not the command, was punishing his family. The skipper would disagree and want me to shoot for lesser punishment, so that's what I did. I didn't agree, but it was his command, his show.

I never raised the issue again because I knew his policy. I never complained about it because that would undermine his authority. My responsibility was to give the skipper my advice as a legal officer. My duty was to carry out his orders so long as they were legal.

Condi's professional relationship to W is fundamentally the same as mine was to my CO.

That's a valid question, Eghad and Whyte - I want more information on that one, too.

Based on what I have heard and seen thus far from Condi, she has my support - so far...

This concept of a "North American Union" has got to go; I can't see Mexico and Canada agreeing to submit to our Constitution and Bill of Rights in the process. And our borders should not be dissolved, even though they almost are at present.
