Interest in a small frame pump rifle?

some years back, I picked up a Savage 170 pump .30/30 at a gun show. I believe I paid less than $200. I have an old ElPaso Weaver on it, and it's actually a good shooter. I would love a pump in .44 mag though. Oh my!
 
Marlin also produced the Model 27 in 32-20 winchester. Then colt ended up producing a single-action revolver a couple years later for 32-20. Sounds like a fun set to own.
 
I really like the idea of a pump utilizing ruger rotary magazines. .357 and .44 mag options to start. The lever gun prices have gone through the roof in those calibers. It would be nice to have more options out there under a grand.
