Inconsistent Shoulder Bump

The Co-ax comes with a unique shell holding system that automatically handles a range of different case head sizes. If you want to slightly overload the press by compressing the sizing die mouth against the Redding Competition Shell Holders, thereby to overcome press stretch variation caused by case-to-case differences in sizing force requirement, then Forster makes an adapter for the Co-ax to accept standard shell holders. However, the press is rigid enough that you may find you don't need to.

The main cause of the variation is case thickness difference due to the cases coming off different tooling. If you sort them by shoulder setback, you will likely have sorted them by their forming tool sets. After that, you should get better consistency.

Sized some more cases, Tightening the shell plate and more case lube seemed to solve the issue. Bumps are now close to 1 thousandths difference.
