In Your Experience, Which Is More Reliable?

It's in the action

Providing a generic answer to a generic question on reliability of a rifle action, I too would recommend the bolt. You did not mention the box or break action so am not responding to those. One strong point among many, is that a bolt action is not picky about the quality of ammo as far as operation. .... ;)

Be Safe !!!

I have bolt .22 and have shot a few .22 semi-autos
1. CZ 452/453
2. Ruger 10/22
3. Marlin 60

All were reliable given reliable ammo.
In general, bolt action will be more reliable than semi-auto because there less parts and parts are simpler compared to semi-auto.
But I had a Savage bolt action .22 with heavy barrel I bought from gander mountain - ejection was bad, chambering of (winchester expert) ammo was bad. rifle sold.

Which type, in your experience, is the most reliable and trouble-free: Semi-autos, bolt actions, or lever actions?

No contest: the bolt action.

Semiautos I've owned tend to be more finnicky on ammo selection. They're more fun, though.
