I'm surprised Texas isn't at the forefront of having a state gun.
Has Florida selected a "state firearm" yet? I understand that, whatever it is, it will have a gold plated trigger and hammer (and possibly other parts).
The Bren Ten and Mac 10 have been Florida's state firearms since the 1980's......just depends on which side of the law you are on.
Texas is significantly more restrictive in their gun laws than a number of other states. I'm not sure that a proposal for a "state gun" would be well received by the Legislature or the general public.
