Has Florida selected a "state firearm" yet? I understand that, whatever it is, it will have a gold plated trigger and hammer (and possibly other parts).
Texas is significantly more restrictive in their gun laws than a number of other states. I'm not sure that a proposal for a "state gun" would be well received by the Legislature or the general public.
