In a world of 14.5" uppers one man pins on a 20"

There is no restriction on barrel length for a pistol. If you were to buy an AR pistol, and put that 7.5" upper on a lower with a butt-stock, you would have a SBR. You would need a stamp for that. As long as there is no butt-stock and the lower is registered as a pistol, you can put whatever length barrel you want. Registered as a rifle and it must have a 16" barrel*

*The "barrel" doesn't necessarily need to be 16", but must be in such a way that it cannot be made shorter than 16" without cutting, tools, etc. You could have a 10.5" barrel with a 6" permanently attached flash hider and be legal.

Oh and a VCAS sling with DD A2 ambi sling loop adapter. I prefer a relatively KISS rifle.
