I'm thinking of thinning the herd a bit,,,

Trade or Sell

Hey Aarond: Since you do so much business with the "Evil Pawn Shop" and they way they treat you, I'd be more inclined to do business with them. I'm sure they can find a trade or get them sold for you and find what your looking for at the same time.

They look sweet, but I'm too much of a S&W man when it comes to wheelguns.

Hello 2damnold4this,,,

You have a point there,,,
I did name them.

The .357 is named Raquel,,,
The .22 LR is named Rowena,,,
I always thought the guns were well endowed. :o

Posting about them and reading all of the comments has clarified thing for me,,,
It's the fact that they have different barrel lengths that bothers me,,,
To my OCD infested mind they really aren't a matching pair.

I believe I'll take vostrackers advice and talk to the Evil Pawn Shop Guy,,,
See if he can maybe find me a 6" .357 I can afford,,,
And peddle Raquel off to help pay for it.

Is it ok ....if you eat a calf named..."tender vittles" ....??? not really sure ..??

But selling something named Raquel ...just seems wrong ...on so many levels...

You will only selling the ones that you will regret selling later!!!
Believe me, that's how it works!!!

When you befriend someone and take them shooting - they really have a tremendous advantage of being able to fire so many guns as they learn which gun might be best for them.

Because of you and the guns you have in your collection, they may also someday be able to say "I fired this gun or that gun once..."

I don't know if you remember when I told you I was available for adoption, but I still am, so, ya know, just think about it...

Try selling them as a pair, then if it doesn't work, you can sell them separately. After all you are thinking of thinning the herd and are not desperate to sell.

I bought a pair of guns once about 3 1/2 years ago, but only because it was a smokin' deal. I bought a S&W model 520 (the one from 1980) and a 1937 S&W 38-44 HD for $630. :D

I am trying to thin the herd a bit myself. I sold a Colt Cobra Saturday and tried to get the guy to buy my Colt Trooper MK III .22lr at the same time, but he just wanted the one. As soon as I get the Trooper sold, I'll dig something else out and put it up for sale. I've come to realize that I just don't need everything that I have and I have nobody to leave them to, so, what's the point of having them all?

Hello again,,,

Reading your replies and typing responses has been a clarifying experience.

I have decided that what really bothers me,,,
Is the fact they are not truly an identical pair of guns,,,
It's the different barrel lengths that keep me from enjoying them.

OCD tendencies really sucks sometimes. ;)

I need to peddle the 4" .357 and replace it with a 6" model,,,
I have two other 4" revolver pairs,,,
It's time for a 6" pair.

Thanks good people,,,
Having a sounding board is always good.

Monday I'll take it in to the Evil Pawn Shop Guy,,,
See what he will offer me for it,,,
He's always been fair to me.

Then the hunt is on for a clean 6" model. :D

Just sent you a message aarond, still trying to get my friend to buys those haha. They are a pretty pair I would snatch them up if i had the money. I need a colt and a S&W some day in my collection.

If you found a 6" 357 that would be awesome too have them match. Would hate to see you regret selling some very nice revolvers. I still regret selling my older taurus 66. I know it was only a taurus but when I got it i wanted a S&W and it looked almost like one and had just the right amount of holster wear. It was the first handgun i bought for myself and I traded it in for my ruger sp101 (which i love) but wish i just saved more money.

Anyway, good luck finding the match to your 22 is thats the route you go :).
