My Daughter was given an assignment by Her anti gun Teacher. The assignment was to write the President about her opinions concerning Gun controll. Most of the kids have been brain washed by the teacher to write an anti gun letter to Him, but My little Daddys girl is standing up for the 2nd ammendment. In her letter She opined that a gun doesn't kill People but people kill People. She also quoted the 2nd ammendment and said People should have the right to protect there houses from criminals with a hand gun. I wish there were more Kids out there standing up for the 2nd ammendment. I think I might set up a meeting with Her Teacher and the principal and find out why Her Teacher is only teaching one side of the gun debate and slaming the 2nd ammendment. I am sick and tired of liberal Teachers indoctrinating Kids with liberal propaganda and anti American trash being taught in our tax supported Schools.

HooRAY! for you, John, to have such a daughter. You have obviously been a greater influence on her than the teacher, and that is the way it should be! You are her Father, not some government employee.

Do they plan on sending these letters off to the prez? If so, it will be interesting to see whether the teacher allows your baby's letter to go.

You keep us posted and tell her what a terrific kid she is!
All my best wishes to your family, Terry

There is hope for the next generation after all. Just make sure she doesn't grow up and marry an idiot, please.

john232, looks to me like you done good my friend. Give your daughter a BIG hug for the great job she is doing. Makes me proud, :)

I'd be really interested to see what kind of grade she gets. (I'm assuming this will be a graded project.) Also, if possible, it'd be really nice to see what she actually ended up writing...

John,
BE proud of your daughter - you betcha!

Furthermore, you are not alone. My youngest got "Saturday school" because of her stand against gun control. I went with her and (after an administrative bug tussle about "trespassing") sat with her in Saturday school for several hours - reading Guns & Ammo, Handgunner, Shooting Times, and (last but not least) The American Rifleman. :)

PS. For some reason, they let us go home early. ;)

Kudos to your daughter! And even more to you, Sir!!

John - Bravo. I'm proud of your daughter too.

I do encourage you to make that meeting with the school officials and ask your important questions.

And please, let us know the outcome of that one.

Bravo, My hats off to the young lass.
My kids were taught the real ABC's and won't take any guff about it either.

Happy Shooting :)

Help Stamp Out Gun Ignorance.

If there ever were a time for School vouchers, or tax credits for private school, Now is the time! My local school is composed of about 80% avid deer hunting families, and the teachers are truly a part of this community. They either hunt or their husbands do. It is a small island of bliss in a sea of ignorance. Schools are pathetic in most places, and they teach our children to think like the herd, and don't step out of line. Then they use peer pressure to keep them off of drugs! Peer pressure and herd mentality is the problem. I'll post a humorous yet angering story about my wife's aunt and her problems with the public schools later.

Dennis I'm curious to ask, what was their reason for punishing her on her stand on gun-control.. how did they justify it? I would have had my lawyer there the next day meeting them if that had happened to me.
Could you elaborate?

I was watching this comedian on Comedy Central yesterday. This guy was making fun of people in Arkansas who carry guns. He said something like "We have an army now, Jethro. We don't need your help. The 2nd amendment was written a couple hundred years ago and we don't need it anymore." It just about made me sick...

Following the above logic...the right to free speech and right protecting us from unlawful search and siezure were written a couple hundred years ago so we don't need them anymore. In fact, let's just get rid of the whole constitution...

ugh...

Anyway...kudos, John and Dennis for raising fine children.

Great job!!!! The thought police are alive and well. You are doing your part. I would insist on certified receipt when the letter is sent. If it's not agreeable to show documentation you may want to start throwing around words like "civil rights" and "freedom of speech" and "descrimination" and "media" and "lawsuites". That's their game. They understand it well. This generally tones them down a bit.

Dennis, the same goes for you. I wouldn't put up with what they did to your daughter for an instant. That's thought punishment.

I've had these kinds of run ins off and on over the years. They don't know how to deal with someone with a backbone any more. Usually after one run in they bend over backward to avoid any possible confrontation in the future.

It really blows them away when they here the same argument from my wife who happens to be a school administrator in a different school system. So not everybody in the system believes in anti guns or self defense.

Stir the pot a little!! They can't handle it!!!

We all have an obligation to our children to do this as a representation to them. In their generation they will need to be able to be stonger than us!

John,
I'm sure that you hear this a lot, but way go! Sounds like you're doing a great job as "Daddy".

john, several years ago a boy was home with two siblings, parents not home, when a perp broke in. he got the other kids in the back bedroom and locked the door. when the scumbag intruder tried to break in that door the kid shot him through the door with a .357! i felt really bad that the kid had been put in that position, but he did all the right things. scumbag died in front yard and buddy was apprehended later. tell your daughter not to give in to the great liberal lie! sundog

Never underestimate 12 year old girl shooters. One of the best shots I know is a 12 year old girl who competes in Cowboy Action Shooting. What she can do with a pair of single action Rugers, a Model 1892 Winchester rifle and a double barreled shotgun is remarkable!

Thanks for all the kind words. I will post the letter after she gets it graded and My Wife can down load it easier than I can but she is sick right now with the flu. I think I will buy My Daughters that Ruger 22 pistol. My 12 year old has been ooohing and aaahhing over it at the gun shop every time we go their. I will set up an appointment with Her Teacher next week. Are Kids are our future and we have to raise them to cherish the 2nd ammendment.
