I'm gonna order this beauty

It is a nice looking revolver. The thing to do is find an older 681, with the hammer mounted firing pin (back when the S&W quality was higher than it is now), & have a good revolver smith work you up one.

Like Tamara said, it would probably cost less.
 
I have a PC627 8 shot...

and I love it. I actually rarely use the moon clips though. They are a pain to load and unload and my 627 is really more of a night stand / range gun so reloads are not really an issue. If I have to reload in my house I am grabbing another gun, preferably a big gun, with a long barrel and either holds 30 rounds or a bunch of 12 gauge.

I love 7 and 8 shot .357s. It is like the perfect marriage of time proven tech in the revolver and cartridge with the capacity of some semi autos. With moon clips you even have reloads that are as fast or in some hands faster than a magazine change. What more could you want in a fighting handgun. Ok in these hands a moon clip reload looks like something out of a Three Stooges Movie but darn it I got more guns at my fingertips. That is my kinda reload. :)

OT but what the heck

I don't care what they do about the pledge as long as those of us who went through the change the first time around a grandfathered and they don't take "Play Ball" out of the anthem.:D :D :D :D
