I'm going stir crazy,,,

...I just don't feel like having to cock the darn thing.
Right, this is why I suggested something with a power level more appropriate for the application. If you're shooting a spring-piston airgun indoors, there's no need for anything more than 600-700fps. That keeps cocking effort minimal, cuts down on the noise and makes the target trap last a lot longer without maintenance. An all around win.

I have a couple of Benjamin pump rifles in 22 and 20 caliber and a couple of the pump pistols in 22 and 177 and use those to practice with in the garage. Two or 3 pumps is plenty of power.

I feel the misery, Aaron, I wanted to take the S&W .22 pistol for a walk in the woods today, but it was a high of 10F, and a wind chill factor of "Eff this!" in my neck o' the woods. My trigger finger is suffering as well.

WooHoo! Sat and Sun to be clear and in the mid 70's

WooHoo!

Sat and Sun to be clear and in the mid 70's

I have three new guns that I haven't fired yet,,,
They're all three packed and ready to take dancing.

Well I say unfired.

One revolver I ran six fast rounds through,,,
Just to make sure it would fire.

One pistol I ran one mag through,,,
By holding the gun out the freezing car window.

But tomorrow I will give them a good workout,,,
I have three hundred rounds of Fiocchi rimfire to burn off.

Taylor's and Co. - Cattleman's 5.5" SAA clone
Smith & Wesson - 5.5" M22A
Browning - Buckmark Hunter

I'm going alone this time,,,
Just me and my new handguns. :D

Maine...3 feet of snow in my back yard, snow storm about every 2-3 days for the past week or so and another 6-12" or more landing on us starting Saturday night and continuing through Monday. Last night the temperature dropped to -15 degrees F and currently 14 above.
Stir crazy would be a good feeling.

I feel your pain bbqbob51,,,

Well actually I don't/can't but I can sympathize,,,
I spent several years in climate like yours,,,
Never again I swore to myself.

Stay warm my friend,,,
It'll go away eventually.

Aaron, Thanks and I know it will go away eventually. I was born here and it is home but some winters are just harder than others. I am a member of a club that does have an indoor range and I will be heading there this week, once the roads clear. t bugs me because I'm just so used to going outside in my backyard and shooting on my own property. That's why I live here in a rural setting so I can do what I want on my property without ticking off my neighbors.

Pretty much the same here in VT. Most winters I can get out to the range at least once a month for a little while, but I haven't been in 3 months. A really cold, hard winter for sure. Dry-firing is the only thing keeping my skills from fading entirely.

Spring will come. The woodchuck saw his shadow, so spring ought to arrive by July. :D
