If you had to use 1 handgun for the rest of your life what would it be?

A 92 would be a great choice, maybe not the best for concealed if you want it for that but it can be done and surplus m9s are coming onto the market for cheap prices as well. One auto from here on out? Man so many great ways to go but right now ill stick with my good old 1911. Served so well for my great grandad in WW1, grandfather in ww2 and uncles in vietnam, it's good for me too.

Only 1 handgun for the rest of my life...
Obviously it has to be a gun that will outlast me.
Hence, the most logical choice (for me) will be HK Mark23.
I guess there's no need to explain why.

Glock 23. Can get 9mm and .357 Sig conversion barrels, and .22 conversion kit.

Have 4 guns in one.

Right size to be concealable, and large enought to be shootable and with long enough sight radius to be accurate. Trigger that is predictable with good reset (not a precision/match trigger but a good repeatable trigger for every shot).

Mags are affoardable.

Easy to maintain and replace parts without a gunsmith.

Just plain simple and versitile.

My first semiauto was a Beretta 92FS. Had it for over 20 years. Don't see myself getting rid of it. It is a good gun, just chunky for what it is, which can provide challenges for concealed carry.

My custom three caliber Colt 1991A1 with barrels in 9mm, .38 Super, and 9x23 Winchester-

For me, Browning Hi Power, Glock 19 or Glock 17 any would make me happy.

'Cause you like pistols to be twice as large as they need to be?:D
