If you had to pick only ONE 40 S&W CCW pistol What would it be

No brainer

Hands down winner by a landslide--

HK USP40c

ergonomic, proper manual of arms, accurate, gentle recoil (for the caliber), under 30 ounces...

I've shot the Glock 23, Sigpro 2340, Sig 229, Ruger P94, and Walther P99 all in 40cal; give me the Heckler & Koch.

G27

Glock 27

The only .40 caliber I would feel comfortable carrying everyday (all day) and not feel like I'm compromising on firepower or shootability.

Glock 23. Same basic thing as my G19, which is my current carry pistol. Glock wins in the CCW dept every time for me.

Do not overlook the UltraStar. Very well made gun, accurate and reliable. Been carrying one for five years.

My Glock 27 is the one I feel most comfortable with. I also have a Glock 23, a S&W 40VE, as well as a Sig 229. The 27 is the best "go everywhere" pistol that I have.

Right now probably a Glock 27, but I haven't taken a close look at a Steyr S40 either. The only reason that I don't pick the Kahr Mk40 is because I have an MK9 and it serves a different purpose than the G27. G23 and SIG P229 are both good too, but neither will fit in the cargo shorts cargo pocket, both are too long to wear xdraw in a car while wearing a fleece pullover, and both are too long to wear on the hip with a short jacket or fleece pullover unless going with an IWB holster.
