With Availability of weapons considered
Okay I'll play, but assuming the world has gone to hell then ammo and parts availability have to be put into consideration:
Pistol : FNP-45
Submachinegun : HK or MKE MP5K
Assault/Battle rifle : Gas Piston AR (full auto); UDMC PVAR
Heavy machine gun : M240
Sniper rifle : Accuracy International AW in .338 Lapua Magnum
Shotgun : Mossberg 500
Special Purpose : Rail-attachable 40mm Underbarrel Grenade Launcher (for AR)
I chose the following because they are all man-portable. And although I'd prefer the MG be mounted on a vehicle, if I ran out of gas or my ride got busted, me or someone else can take it off and go on foot.

6. 870 magpul with turkey choke shooting 6 shot and #4 buckshot.
Yes, finding my ammo would be hard to come by. I would probably depend on a shotgun and pistol considering that is all I could really carry. My ARs would be used for territory defense by whoever is on guard at that moment.
I reload also. As long as the materials are on hand, ammo is not that big of a deal for a little while.

I have to ask. Why would so many people choose an MP7? What is so great about them? Does anyone in the US even have one? Anyone ever shot one? Its kind of like like the PS 90, but I would imagine impossible to find ammo for. Reminds me of that B&T machine pistol deal. Seems like the same kind of deal.

Sub-machine gun ---dont think so...in a shtf uses to much ammo to carry
Assault/Battle rifle AR-15 5.56 with a cmmg .22 conversion
Heavy machine gun afraid I don't know enough about these to make an intelligent decission
Sniper rifle ---a savage m10FPSR or a rem 700 .308 works good. anything bigger shoots further than my ability anyhow
Shotgun --- remington 870
Special Purpose --- Gamo bigcat or other powerful air rifle great for small critters and save on ammo
