If you can only have one pistol?????

Don't laugh!! If Algore gets to the White House, this might just happen, and don't think that it couldn't happen either. The same wacked out soccer moms that gave us 8 years of Bill Clinton are poised to give us Algore. At last count, Algore is ahead by 6-10 points in all the polls, and the reason is a 22 point lead among WOMEN!!!!

My heart says my 1911. The first handgun I ever fired was a 1911, courtesy of the USN. Lots of setimental value there...

My head says my 4" 686 (pre-sellout).

Tough decision.

Of course my Glock doesn't count, does it? After all, its made out of plastic. :)

If I could only have one pistol, I'd move.

However, to amuse you, if I could only have one pistol, it would be a 1911 of some variant.

One of my Smith 627 Special Editions (all stainless .357 magnum, with five-inch barrel, full underlug, and gold dot sight). Accurate, reliable, durable, beautiful and it accommodates all .357 mag and .38 Special rounds.

I knew I would be scolded for such an amateurish topic by some of the "old timers" that let ego get in the way of good conversation BUT it's still fun to see the viewpoints out there.

"old timers"....hummmpphhhh....grumble....kicking rocks. :D :D :D

This is always a tough question but I would go with my S&W Model 37. Why? I live in an urban environment and a Model 37 can go anywhere with me. Regards, Richard.

I would have to go with a heavy duty 4" .357 revolver like the GP100 or S&W 686
They have fewer moving parts so there is less to go wrong and it shoots two kinds of ammo that are available almost anywhere in the world. :)

This is an easy one. I would choose my Series 70 Colt 1911 and 50 spare Wilson mags. I would also have a Colt ACE conversion kit for it with 50 spare mags. Extra barrels, grips and small parts of course.

Two guns for one, not a bad deal. If I couldn't have this setup, I would take my Glock 21.

Id take the C.O.P. in 50ae(the packable quad-50),.....it would give me four barrels of a caliber that would allow me to "bark squirrels", and to end the problem quickly when that grizzly enters my elevator.....Id have four chances to shoot myself.....
....fubsy....

An alternate universe which would only allow one pistol would probably be pretty short of shootable ammunition with a lot of duds. So that eliminates autos, leaving my old 686 .357mag. A .44 would be out of the running as there are probably a hundred .38 and .357 shells for every single .44 out there floating around in the matrix. Out of six shots five could fail to fire and it would still work. ;)

First I would cry and wip. Second, I would live HK P7M8. Why?
1. Arguably, it is the most relyable handgun
in existance, including revolvers.
2. Extrimely fast in use
3. Very compact, easy to conceal
4. Uses the most popular pistol ammo in the world
5. Does not require alot of maitance
6. Very accurate.
