Dead- the "would you fire on civilians resisting gun confinscation" question you mentioned was part of a thesis being written by a pro-constitution solider, trying to determine if soldiers would follow unconstitutional orders. There were various other questions, relating to the UN and drug interdiction. There is no insidious meaning, apparently, it was just a paper.
