With the number of mass shootings occurring with AR-15/Sig MPX style weapons, are these guns headed for the NFA list of restricted weapons? If they were added, would you register your guns (subjecting yourself to registration and BATF oversight), turn in your guns, or other (I’ll leave it at that).
Would it eventually reduce mass shootings (since NFA guns are rarely used in crimes). I assume this is based on stricter regulation, in depth background checks, increasing rarity of guns due to FOPA restricting ownership to pre-1986 weapons, and cost.
As a parent, my heart breaks for the parents who lost their children or who’s children were injured. If it was one of our kids that were gunned down, would we still be saying more guns is the solution? What would work? Raising the age of semi-automatic rifles to 21 like with handguns?
