I'd say Ms. Magazine folks can be reasoned with

Oleg,
You are a better man than I. I could barely read "ellissa"'s post through the red haze. I think the best quotte for her is "There are none who are so blind as ones who will not see."

Oleg, Elissa mentions, at one point, that she has as many rights as we, or something of that nature. Perhaps you will mention that without the 'teeth' of our 2nd Amendment, those rights we enjoy could easily be ripped away.

You're a good man, Oleg. You have my best wishes.

I think that concentrating on personal safety would be the way, at first. We can get to political implications later...bigger topic and in conflict with more of their existing views.

I will never convince some of them. However, we could have a pleasant chat with the rest.

Good job, Oleg! This is really cool (debating on boards with fence-sitters and antis) because it makes one feel as if we're actually doing something to help the cause of RKBA instead of preaching to the choir here. I for one feel a little invigorated with a purpose. Time to find several places like this where we can go and fight on the front lines. It will condition us to debate well rather than ranting also.

Oleg, I totally agree that personal safety is the way to go. Many people turn to stone as soon as you mention the 2nd ammendment, the Constitution, gov conspiracies, etc. As soon as the conversation turns to that, they think of all gun owners as being radical, white-trash, rednecks who live in some backwoods shack.

They can't identify with that, but hopefully they can identify the need to protect oneself; unfortunately, a great number won't. Those type make lemmings who jump of cliffs looks smart.

I think me might want to lay off. We got their attention but now we are beginning to annoy some people there. I think the interested soulds can follow us back to TFL.
