I won the lottery (Not really) Ammo Walmart

As most if not all of us know, the shelf's have been whipped clean (From Walmart) for the last 3-4 month's of ammo for handguns (.380s, 38spl/.357 9mm 40cal 45acp.)

Well, this has been a compromise to us "regular" average shooters.

For the life of me, I could not get a box of .357Mags from anywhere (Including my regular mail orders).

TBS, I walk into Walmart, and I just about dropped to my knee's. Four box's (100) of .357 Rem's!

I thought to my self, "I'm buying all of them, to heck with everybody else, those SO's", and then I thought, "hey man, I don't want to ad to the perpetual motion that's already taking place!" So I left a box for the next "Fellow shooter"

I think we all should follow this example, and not be so selfish.

God bless!

PS, I've had a few, "Again!"

Don't drink them all!!!! :D Leave some for the rest of us!

Nah, I'd probably grab as much ammo as I wanted. If it was all of it, then so be it.

Walmart only had 8 boxes of .40S&W value boxes of Winchester White Boxes...I only got 5 boxes. So I donated three to the next shooter.

Did my good deed for the community.

I did the same thing with .380 WWB FMJ's a couple weeks ago. None for months. Store had 4 boxes. I left 2. I was not so kind with the .243 Win 100 gr. corelokts though........:o (I bought all 4).

If they only have 4 boxes of 100rd .45acp on the shelf, and I was looking for weeks. I'd WANT to buy all 4, but probably could only afford to buy 3 :(

A few weeks ago .at wally world they had a case of 22lr . i said give me 3 bricks .sell the rest to someone else . :)

I bought the last two boxes of Blazer Brass 9mm (my Wal-mart has em for $8.76/50), but the guy said someone earlier bought five boxes. So as the recipient of such gentlemanly acts, I thank you.

I checked a local W*M the other day and found one lonely box of Rem. UMC 9mm JHP 100 cnt. It was like finding the Holy Grail! :D I bought it.

There was no other 9mm, .40 S&W or .45 ACP on the shelves.

Seems like all the new gun buyers after Obama got in are filling their pockets with ammon while we can. I know iI am doing it.:)

Thanks for the kind words.

Buy the way, they didn't have any other popular handgun rounds, but I was only looking for .357 Rem. Mags., so it worked out perfect.

Although I did have to wait to get them (Story I'm not going to talk about "Walmart")

I'm just glad I can shoot some hot .357's (Even hotter than Fiocchi), because I have never had hotter .357's that the old Rem's.

I don't know, it's something about those Rem's. People come up and say "Is that a .500?" :eek:LOL

Like the old American express, "don't leave home with out them."

I reload :) and I can always (knock on wood) find components.

Only thing I buy at W-M is .22LR, and I only buy one or two 550-round Bulk Packs at a time, leaving 8-10 or more for someone else.

LOL thats great!!! Leave some for the next guy, to bad the next guy is the guy thats stashed 27,000 rounds..... I say if your looking for it, going to shoot it, buy it!!!!

Finding ammo

I went into Walmart today to buy a box of 9mm ammo. The guy behind the counter told me that someone came in and bought all 10 boxes. I am going to start buying by the thousand! It is getting harder and harder to find ammo locally.

you guys are much nicer than I am

I spent my last day off driving to all of the bi-marts within an hour of here and buying all of the federal 5.56 ammo they had while it was still on sale. In that time i found ONE 100rnd wwb of 38spc.. and I bought that aslo

I purchased 500 rounds of 5.56 total... but i had to go to 6 different stores to get it all.

you guys are much nicer than I am

but, you're Mr.Nice Guy!:p:D

I'm lucky to have a few places locally that sell ammo at Wally prices or less. I've never relied on them for my shooting habit. I DO leave a few behind for the next guy if possible.

Here in Vegas you can get all the 5.56's you want at any Walmart's (All Walmarts are about 10 minutes apart :barf:), it's the popular handgun ammo that's gone. And 7.62X39? They have many, many-o-box.

must be nice. this week i went to two walmarts looking for 380 and 357 sig. i found nothing but shotgun rounds and a box 300 win mag. i mean they were dry. i used to purchase boxes upon boxes of 357sigs from this place and not nothing last time
