+1 HungryHunter,

Big difference in instructing style's for the military or say LE academy versus that of the general public.

He said he has experienced racism after 9/11. He said he had also been physically assaulted being mistaken from middle east.
Unfortunately, it also sounds like he may be projecting that into unrelated situations.

In any case, we're hearing this third-hand. Could it be that our student wasn't used to people being stern with him? Could it be that he's just a little too touchy about being reprimanded?

We only have one side of the story, and not a complete one at that.

Lot of truth in what you speak 'great warrior'. :D

Tis why these "a friend of a friend told me so" threads are usually unproductive in any way and generally a waste of bandwidth.

Only the fella from India and the instructor know for sure what happened, what was said and the context in which it was said. Everything else is just speculation.

The instructor needs to work on his instructional techniques. Threatening someone is unacceptable.
Too bad there is no such as a "time machine". I would transport you back with me to Basic Training at Fort Knox, Aug. 1962, so you could expalin to the sargents (instructors) that threatening someone is unacceptable. :)

^^^Yes, the days of an LEO catching a youngster out there screwing up doin something stupid and shaking the snot out of him, bootin him in the butt and sendin him home are long gone as well.

Well, I'm booting this is in the butt as a memorial to the good ol' days when the law could beat the crap out of you in a unconstitutional manner. Oh, the RKBA protects the Constitution?
