Agreed. Brass trigger guard is Italian, not Ilion.
I have only seen one H&R USRA Single Shot in person.
Poor finish put me off, and I did not buy it, although it was mechanically good. If it comes back to the local gun show I will take another look, considering the value of a NIB shown here.
I would like a Tompkins, but since they only made 200 guns and the last three sold went for $3000, $4000, and $4000, I don't think I am a player. I saw a copy for $800 but don't know anything to say if it is as good quality as the original. Tompkins was supposed to have a fantastic trigger. Not a set or hair trigger like a free pistol, but as crisp as a good target rifle.
