I Thought it Was Legal to Shoot Yankees

French and Indian/Revolutionary War guys don't even take ramrods into the field anymore back east. Not sure about other parts of the country. Some guy used his Brown Bess steel ramrod quite normally while loading a blank during an event, accidentally left it in the barrel, and perforated an opponent.

Livin' in fear.....ain't livin'.

No, not living in fear, let's just say that the little voice will be going off in the back of my head now.

The Doc is out now.

(dang those voices in my head )

You would think that even the "winners" would want a re-do considering how their victory has turned out over the past 144 years ( especially the last 45 years of "victory" )!!:D

You southern Lads want to fight something, I'm sitting over here in Iraq and we've got PLENTY of these Rag headed fellas that Aren't to kind. Your More the welcome to come on over and lend a hand ;) "By the way it's 130 in the shade before noon. "
Besides that we've already got the peoples Socialist republic of California, the Marxist State of NY, and I'm not touching NJ... But regardless You've got a friend in PA :D

SSG-Gibb - And we appreciate what you do. :):)

We had a fellow who had just come back from over there give talk and show his photos to our Men of the Church group recently. The average American needs to be much more informed of what is actually going on in the Middle East and then maybe we would have so much whining about our role over there.

You damn right, when does it start and I will be there.

those days are gone for good. The feds would nerve gas, nuke, or otherwise starve out any state trying to secede today. All they have to do is shut off the power grid, and stop gasoline/oil/fuel/food shipments and supplies, and the "war" would be over. Different times, different tactics- and look who's in charge now. They would not hesitate.

We don't use nerve gas and nukes on our enemies, why would we use it against our own states??? Ever read The Art of War?

They or you?

Interesting threats coming from W T Sherman (William Tecumseh Sherman).

Damn that shooting seems to be the best re-enactment ever done. For a second I thought another real Civil War had broke out and everyone was just keeping the tradition alive with period uniforms. :D

Too bad though. I guess I will just watch The Good the Bad and the Ugly for the millionth time.:)

On a serious note, If you are reckless with guns someone dies or gets hurt. Just because they are BP movie romance does not mean they are not deadly. 200 years ago the guns were made to kill just like today.

This thread is too political for this forum now.

One final word: Big Bethel.

First "battle" of the Civil War.

Benjamin Butler, a squinty-eyed New England attorney v. John Magruder.

It was a battle where Yankee fought Yankee (they met at a crossroad) and despite Confederate intervention, the Yankees still beat the Yankees (crossfire) thereby setting a precedent of Butler never winning a battle outside of a courtroom.
