Thanks man. Originally I was just going to buy the standard mid length upper and put Magpul hand guards on it, but the more I thought about it, the more a rail system made sense, in terms of versatility.
But you gotta pay for that versatility, and the upper cost $875, versus $489 for a standard BCM upper. I'm glad I went with the rail though.
The only thing I'm going to change is the stock. I like the MOE stock, but I prefer a better cheek weld that it provides, so I'm going to put a Vltor IMod stock on it.
