Just saying that lying to the American people in any capacity should be viewed with the same disdain as lying under oath.

'Course at that point it depends on the motives and energy of the opposing side. It surely was a mess.

I wont be voting for my state represenative beccause he might have lied. He told a reporter that he didnt do something but the reporter had the black and white evidence in his hand. He is Republican who I liked and was going to vote to re-elect. He wasnt under oath but he didnt tell the truth or didnt even bother to make a correction. Now I am voting for the Democratic candidate.

I agree that lying under oath is wrong just as redwood and Bud Helms have said....but as a elected represenative of the people its bad to lie too. while telling a lie may not have a legal ramification it should have some ramifications for the politicians who do it.

Lie in court and face legal ramifications. Lie to voters and face ramifications at the ballot box. That's the way it should work.
