Last Man Standing with Bruce Willis. The whole movie is pretty much a shoot out.

Public Enemy with Johnny Depp has a few good ones.

Heat has is one of the best.

3:10 to Yuma. Russell Crowe. The very end when he stands at the train and pulls his pistol and shoots all his gang members in about 1.5 seconds. Thats awesome.
Wanted. At the end when the main guy lets the rats out in the compound. He kills a bunch of folks. Angie Jolie curves her bullet around the library and kills like 12 people.

These are just a few decent one's that come to mind.

Oh and how could we forget about Hot Shots part Duex. Lol. That's got some funny gun fight scenes. :D

The Outlaw Josey Wales. The Missouri Boat Ride and the run down at the end of the movie. The latter scene is an excellent illustration of a Missouri Border Raiders armament.

The Bar Fight in Unforgiven. "He should have armed himself"

Yes, the "public enemies" film had some nice shooting scenes, but nothing compares to the shootout in "Heat". They shot 800-1000 rounds per take. You have Colt ARs, AKs, 1911's, m9s, FAL rifle, Remington 700 snipers, mossberg 500s, Remy 870's, Colt 1911, sig pistols, and many more. I watch the scene sometimes to get me pumped for the shootng at the range.

I'm watching Revolver on Netflix right now. Haha. How ironic. Lol. That's great.

ha. I try.

3:10 to Yuma is another good one OOPS already named. How did I miss that?

Appaloosa is really good as well. More of a drama then action but its good.

I could list all sorts of great movie shootouts. But I need to catch some zzzs. :D Ill probably post some more tomorrow.

The shootout in The Town is quite intense.

In similar TFL threads of the past, I've mentioned this one, but I seem to be the only one who remembers 1973's "Dillinger" starring Warren Oates. It does tend to either stretch {and in some parts, fabricate} actual history, but still, you have Thompsons, BARs, 1911s....several great cinema shootouts in this one.

I think American Rifleman TV had this ranking based on viewers votes. Maybe someone can find their rankings.

You also have to include the battle for the bridge at the end of "Saving Private Ryan".

Restaurant scene from Nikita (the French original to Briget Fonda's awful The Assassin)

Athmospheric and well shot:

And before: the pharmacy raid, and then the escape from the embassy at the end of the same film.

End scene of "Leon"

The powered armour scene from District 9, even though half the weapons don't exist.

Anton Sigur chases Llewelyn in No Country for Old Men.

Matrix 1: Federal Building scene, if you can take the acrobatics

So many scenes, so litle bandwidth!

+1 to Heat busted heist scene

I like the final shoot-out in the the Clint Eastwood movie Unforgiven where he confronts the sheriff and posse in the bar room with a double barrel shotgun. The final scene in The Wild Bunch where the boys take on the Mexican army is quite exciting. Warren Oates on the machine gun is a classic. The earlier scene at the beginning of the movie where the boys rob a bank has a magnificent shoot out too.

Yhe OK Corrall shootout in Tombstone.

The shootout at the hotel in The Getaway. Love Kim Basinger, btw!

No, no, no.

The best one is the shootout between Clint Eastwood and Lee van Cleef in the cemetery in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Ok, not much shooting, but as far as cinematics, go, it's hard to beat.

The WAY OF THE GUN without a doubt is the best overall shootout movie. Heat has the best shootout, but TWOTG is much more realistic in my opinion with tactics used, etc.

Heat is probably one of the best ever, if flipping channels, sometimes I'll watch it and not the rest of the movie. It's that good! Some of my other favorites ,in no particular order, are....

Commando: Arnold takes out all the soldiers on the island. (The part were he is using the AK with skeleton stock is a "gold standard" for never reloading a weapon.)

Silverado: Kevin Costner walks out of the saloon, draws his pistols, crosses his arms, says "Hey" and shoots two guys at once.

Predator: The squad assualt on the Russian camp. "I ain't got time to bleed." and the unveiling of the mini-gun. Iconic.

Star Wars: When the group is pinned down by stormtroopers in the hallway, the Princess gets annoyed, takes the blaster from Han, jumps out and shoots a couple of stormtroopers like a pro. (Yeah, it's sci-fi but those "lasers" are as real as the "bullets" in the other films.)

Then there are scenes that are "shootings" rather than "shoot-outs"....

Suicide Kings: The flashback/memory scene when Charlie (Christopher Walken) "gets his ring back" from the other gangster by shooting him in the chest at the urinals.

The Godfather: The assinations of the other mob bosses during the Baptism.

Quigley Down Under: The "I never said, I COULDN'T use a pistol." scene at the end.
