Thank you Gentlemen,,,
I have sent an E-mail to
Collins Craft,,,
His website shows a white Corian grip that he calls a "
J-frame Conversion".
It essentially does what the Pachmayer Compac grips do,,,
They make a round-butt J-frame and give it the same feel as a J-frame square-butt.
I've asked him if he has in stock or can make that same conversion grip,,,
But make it about the same size as standard K-frame stocks.
Hopefully he'll say yes and won't charge me too awful much for the custom work,,,
If not, I'll go ahead and purchase his standard J-frame conversion stocks.
As far as my 9-year old friend goes,,,
You are correct in that the original round-butt grips are best for her small hands.
But since it only takes mere seconds to change the grips back to the original wooden round-butts,,,
I want something to make it a bit more comfortable/practical for when I shoot it.
I spoke with her father at the Memorial Service for my friend,,,
He agrees that she can start shooting it this summer,,,
And that it's okay to tell her the gun will be hers,,,
But they don't need to take possession as yet.
I do have it listed as hers in my give-to list,,,
I'll make her a better range holster/belt to go with it.
Gentlemen,,,
Thanks for allowing me to ramble,,,
It's been helpful for me to use this as a sounding board.
My friend is laid to rest now,,,
Time for me to continue the business of living.
