I have sinned

Maybe I'll rethink the Spyder - I like the look and the options...
The Tippman Model 98 is not too bad - but I dont like its balance.
I may just go all out and get an Automag... make that a Minimag.

Just hope the officer never finds out and that he never pulls you over. ;)

George, all those battles you fought in your your youth in the name of "Free Enterprise" (as opposed to Communism)... And now you would feel shame at the excercise of that very venture?

Caveat emptor ("Let the buyer beware") works not only for quality but for price and availability. You saved him a lot of legwork. He couldn't have found that particular pistol at that extremely low price without you, anyway. It's basically a fee for being connected.

Buy the paintball gun, and kwitcher fussin'.

Awwww... po' babeeeee...! ;)

I sorta had the same dilemma this weekend. I got asked at the last minute, two days in a row, to be police security at a rennaisance/fantasy festeval. I put on my summer uniform and showed up. They gave me a bunch of tickets worth a buck each at any of the food booths, and just asked me to stroll the faire. 8 hours later, I was stuffed, had heard some great (and hillarious) shows and good music, had escorted a couple of pulls from cash drawers, and had not had to hassle even ONE drunk, though there was beer/wine/mead/spirits at every corner. The second day, same thing, except the weather cooled, and it was MORE comfy. (I actually needed a jacket!?!) These people thanked me furiously for coming in on short notice, invited my wife and daughter in for free, and then payed me in CASH, on the spot.

I had had such a good time, I found myself almost willing to say they could k.... er, uh

No.

I said "Thank you," and offered to work their duties any time. I provided my end of the deal. Just because I actually enjoyed my duty doesn't mean that I should give my service pro bono.

I don't see any harm at all in taking the $100--there are some occupations where is is customary to receive special payments for work that is unhealthy or dirty or even embarrassing. In the circumstances, given the nature of the transaction and the unsavoury nature of the commodity, you should have got more.

Oh yeah--now I remember. The reason I came to this topic was because I thought it would be referring to the famous one word telegraph sent by Clive of India to the British War Office. His army had just been victorious and had captured Sind Province in India.
The word was "peccavi" (Lat."I have sinned."

I can't wait to think of all the money I'll be makin' when these damned things are outlawed! I mean.. WOOHOO!!
